Luis Miguel López has over 17 years of experience in Mexican public administration and 15 years in the private sector, excelling in leading complex national and international projects. His career includes key positions at the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture, where he worked as a regulator, public policy designer, and international negotiator in the food, agriculture, and fisheries sectors. He has also collaborated with legislators on regulatory, budgetary, and public policy issues.
At the international level, Luis has represented Mexico in bilateral and multilateral negotiations, advising companies from Canada, France, China, South Korea, Spain, and Saudi Arabia in assessing the political and social risks of infrastructure investments in Latin America. He has developed a strong network of relationships with key stakeholders in various countries, positioning himself as a strategic leader in project implementation.
In the private sector, he has driven innovative initiatives in renewable energy, medicinal cannabis, disruptive technology, and aquaculture projects. His experience includes obtaining regulatory permits, negotiating power purchase agreements (PPAs), and developing large-scale transportation projects.
Luis holds a degree in International Relations from the Universidad de las Américas-Puebla and a postgraduate degree in Public Affairs from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, allowing him to lead projects and negotiations in multicultural environments.
Currently, Luis is a partner at ARPPA Technologies, leading technology projects in Mexico and the United States. He has worked with PEMEX International and Axess Ventures México, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to innovation.
