Gerardo Serrano is a distinguished lawyer with extensive experience in international transactions, infrastructure development, and the energy sector, particularly in oil and gas. Throughout his career, he has advised multinational companies, investment funds, and government entities on strategic projects ranging from mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to public-private partnerships (PPP).

His experience includes representing clients in high-profile acquisitions, such as the purchase of Best Buy Mexico, and structuring complex international joint ventures in the energy industry, including gas pipelines, supply platforms, and exploration and production projects. Additionally, he has led regulatory and contractual initiatives for key industry players, providing innovative solutions in project financing and infrastructure development.

In the private sector, he has driven innovative initiatives in renewable energy, medicinal cannabis, disruptive technology, and aquaculture projects. His expertise ranges from obtaining regulatory permits to negotiating power purchase agreements (PPAs) and developing major transportation-related projects.

In the public sector, Gerardo has collaborated on highway, hospital, and renewable energy projects, as well as on lobbying and high-impact political strategy development. His deep understanding of global energy and natural resource portfolio management positions him as an expert in his field.

Mr. Serrano brings decades of experience working with major publicly traded companies. He has extensive knowledge of public administration and its regulations, policy design, legal strategy execution, lobbying, institutional relations, and high-level political negotiation.

Gerardo holds a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where he specialized in energy law and public policy. He is fluent in Spanish and English, enabling him to lead negotiations and projects in international contexts.
